Real-World Modelling

I worked as an assistant at the University of Warwick Engineering Department during the first steps towards the development of a new course about modelling real-world systems. The course was taught for first time on fall 2017, and its creation was financed by Warwick IATL. I was mainly guided by James Kermode.

We created lessons about Population Modelling and Newtonian physics, and also about Introduction to Julia language and Linear Algebra. For each of the lessons we made a Julia programming language notebook. The first versions of these notebooks are available in this GitHub repository. The notebooks can be visualized using NBViewer, for example the Population Modelling notebook.

This was the beginning of a world population prediction, without taking into account the Earth's carrying capacity and other factors:
