Medical Supply Chain Safety

I participated in The Port Hackathon 2016 at CERN (Oct 14-16th). The goal of my team, called Chain Safety Investigators, was to come up with a solution to drug counterfeit and lack of data in the medical supply chain. The team worked online 6 weeks prior to the hackathon discussing how to arrive to a solution. But it was until the first day of the hackathon that we agreed to a solution based on blockchain technology and QR codes. During the second and third days we did more research about the topic, got feedback from mentors, prepared presentation materials, and the software developers of the team made a software prototype.
